Born and raised in Brazil, I began my creative journey after moving to America through a student exchange program. During this time, I worked with various forms of arts and crafts, which allowed me to discover a deeper passion for creating art with a myriad of materials. This led me to stay in America and continue my education in the arts, earning an Associate of Fine Arts, as well as an ESL Certificate.

My work involves a spectrum of materials, from clay and metal wire, to paper and colored pencils. Metalwork gives me the freedom to explore building structures, creating open forms with wire that emphasize movement, balance and light. Pottery allows me to form sculptures with the flow of my hands, such as ceramic bowls, cups and vases. Drawing lets me focus on the human experience, shifting focus towards the eyes as a way to convey emotion and even personal experience.

One of my most treasured pieces is “Paper Dress”, a large white dress made entirely from various types of papers. Designed to be worn, the piece transforms the body into a moving form, reflecting how even the most fragile materials can carry strength and presence.

My work embodies central themes of memory, identity and transformation. By using delicate and every-day materials, I explore how simple forms can hold deep meaning and allow the viewer to reflect on the human experience.
